File Information Tracked
Learn what data DriveAuditr captures for each file.
File Details
For every file in your Google Drive, DriveAuditr captures:
Basic Information
- File Name: The name of the file or folder
- File ID: Unique Google Drive ID
- Owner: Email address of the file owner
- Type: File category (Document, Spreadsheet, Folder, PDF, Image, etc.)
- MIME Type: Technical file type identifier
Timestamps
- Created Date: When the file was created
- Modified Date: Last modification timestamp
Size & Access
- Size: File size in bytes
- URL: Direct link to open the file in Drive
Permission Details
For each permission on a file, you'll see:
Permission Information
- Permissions Count: Total permissions on this file
- Permission Type:
user- individual usergroup- Google Groupdomain- entire organization domainanyone- public access
- Permission Role:
owner- can delete, sharewriter/editor- can editcommenter- can commentreader/viewer- can only view
- Permission Email: Email address (if applicable)
- Permission Domain: Domain name (if domain-wide share)
- Permission Display Name: User's display name
Row Structure
Each row in the audit sheet represents one permission.
Files with multiple permissions appear in multiple rows:
File A - Permission 1 (user@example.com, viewer)
File A - Permission 2 (anyone, reader)
File B - Permission 1 (owner@example.com, owner)
This makes it easy to filter and find specific permission patterns.
Supported File Types
DriveAuditr audits ALL file types in your Drive:
- Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms
- PDFs and Office documents
- Images, videos, audio files
- Folders and shortcuts
- Files in Shared Drives
- Files shared with you
What's Included
The audit includes:

What's Not Included
The audit only shows files you have access to. It cannot show:
❌ Files you don't have permission to see ❌ Files in other users' private drives ❌ Deleted files (in trash or permanently deleted)
Export Options
The audit results are already in Google Sheets, so you can:
- Download as Excel (
.xlsx) - Download as CSV (
.csv) - Download as PDF for reports
- Copy/paste to other tools
Just use Google Sheets' built-in export options.
